Cinderella with Camila Cabello (Review🤫, Spoiler alert🚨)📺
Hello Curious Readers, Today I’m going to review the new movie adaption of Cinderella with Camila Cabello. Before further ado, I want to make one thing really clear: This is just my opinion of the movie. Maybe we have different taste and you may not even like it or you just like it, i don’t even know! But now let’s read the description, or what else you call this, of the movie: Cinderella (2021): A modern movie musical with a bold take on the classic fairy tale. Our ambitious heroine has big dreams and with the help of her fab Godmother, she perseveres to make them come true. I wasn’t really sure about the meaning though, so I quickly ran them through the translator, sorry(I normally don’t speak English in my household which means that I don’t speak English fluently). A little while later… Ohh, so the godmother is the fairy, now I get it! Okay, so the Description of the Movie is pretty good and it definitely described it in the best way possible. But… There are some littledetails missing, you know? Let’s come to my review… Cinderella is probably one of the most modern Disney movies I’ve ever seen. I mean just take a look at the story. Cinderella loves to make dresses by herself and also sees the potential to make a living from it while the whole world tells her to stop dreaming (which makes me just so angry, sorry but you should support an independent girl like her and not put her down!). They also tell her that women aren’t meant to be involved into business which makes me even angrier But I still love the way that the movie also represents that sexisism is not okay and everyone should be treated equally. Everyone has the potential to follow their dreams and make them come true .
Robert (the prince): Sounds like you need to lower your price. Ella (The Cinderella): (sighs) Sir, please don’t pile on, okay? Not, today. Robert (the prince): No, no. I’m sorry. It’s a beautiful dress. Ella (The Cinderella): Right? I should be allowed to sell it. Robert (the prince): Sure, but women can’t own shops. Ella (The Cinderella): Uh-huh. And that’s unfair. Robert (the prince): is it? Ella (The Cinderella): Yes! Us ladies, we give birth, we run households, surely we can run a business! Can’t be that hard. – CINDERELLA 2021
Details: They (the director/-s) also let us take a look into the character of the bad, bad stepmother . It turned out that she also had a dream a long time ago which got shattered by her own husband (I mean how devil can you be???) and which is the reason why she had become that way. The evil stepmother wanted to become a pianist (I also want to mention that she taught herself piano) and went away for a month to pursue her dream while she had a husband and two kids (and her husband thought that she couldn’t have a career on her own and should be there for her kids and then he just left and yeah so on…).
Okay, now let’s take a look at the fairy godmother of Cinderella!
So the fairy godmother was probably the most refreshing of all the other characters. And that’s not without a reason! Billy Porter embodied the role like nobody else could and just had the full on atmosphere of a fairy that comes to fulfill your wishes with humour and a little bit of fashion.
The Fabulous Godmother : Yeeees! I am your fabulous godmother. Do you want to go to that ball and meet a bunch of rich people who’ll change your life? Ella (The Cinderella): Yes, I was just crying and singing about it, like, two minutes ago. The Fabulous Godmother : [waving his wand] Then gooo youuu shaaall! -CINDERELLA 2021
The Movie has a Little Bonus because you can watch it for free on Amazon prime! Critics: What made me really sad and also angry about this movie is that the prince‘s sister got protait as annoying and that she wouldn’t be a good queen. Cmon! The whole time in the movie when she spoke her lines she always came with new ideas to help the kinddom and the people around her, why wouldn’t she be the perfect queen? Also it seemed to me as if the People already liked her more than her brother (spoiler alert!!!! Don’t continue reading this post if you don’t want to be spoilert or just skip this block! ) Buuut the Good thing is that she gets at the end the chance to become the queen Yayy At the end let’s just listen to this original masterpiece:
A million to one - Camila Cabello
Conclusion:
The movie is truly worth watching eventhough the royal family clearly didn’t respect their daughter enough(!) but hey I think in the other cinderella movies I watched the prince didn’t even had a sister, so I guess it’s alright since (spoiler alert ) she became the queen at the end. I recommand you to watch Cinderella because it’s a modern movie which fits in our today’s generation.
That’s it… What are you waiting for? Go watch it! (Or if you don’t want to that’s also alright)
Have a nice day and keep dreaming and wishing and…,
En🌞
